Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025 By Helicopter Ex- Kathmandu
Day-1: Kathmandu Arrival
- Arrive at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, where our representative will greet you warmly and transfer you to the hotel.
- En route, visit the revered Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, followed by stops at other significant holy temples.
- Check-in at your 4-star hotel (Hotel Shankar, Hotel Royal Singi, or similar).
- Relax and unwind from your journey.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day-2: Kathmandu to Nepalgunj
- Enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading to the airport for your flight to Nepalgunj.
- Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and settle in.
- In the evening, our representative will provide an informative briefing about the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and what to expect during the journey.
- Overnight stay at Hotel Siddhartha or Hotel Cygnett, both well-known for comfort and quality service.
Day-3: Nepalgunj to Simikot, Hilsa, and Purang
- Start early with a drive to Nepalgunj Airport for your flight to Simikot (approx. 40–50 minutes).
- Once you arrive in Simikot, take a brief rest before boarding a helicopter for the 10–20 minute flight to Hilsa.
- Upon arrival at Hilsa, wait for other group members before embarking on the drive to Purang.
- Overnight stay at Hotel Purang or Hotel Himalaya, where you can rest and prepare for the next stage of the journey.
Day-4: Acclimatization at Purang
- Take the day to acclimatize at Purang to ensure you’re well-prepared for the upcoming Kailash Mansarovar Parikrama.
- You may opt for a light trek to further aid in acclimatization and prepare physically for the trek ahead.
- Purang, a small yet vibrant town, offers a variety of shops where you can purchase necessary items such as trekking sticks, water gallons for carrying the Holy Mansarovar water, and other essentials. Be sure to bargain for the best prices.
- Overnight stay at Hotel Purang or Hotel Himalaya.
Day-5: Purang to Mansarovar Lake
- After breakfast, begin the drive to Mansarovar Lake in an AC Volvo bus, a scenic 2-hour journey.
- Once you reach Mansarovar, begin the Parikrama (circumambulation) of the sacred lake, covering a distance of approximately 105 km.
- Take a holy dip in the lake and perform puja at the divine site, where you’ll also catch your first view of the awe-inspiring Kailash Parvat.
- Overnight stay at a Guest House near Lake Mansarovar. If conditions allow, visit the lake at night or early morning (Brahm Muhurt) to witness its spiritual ambiance.
Day-6: Mansarovar to Darchen
- After a short drive from Lake Mansarovar, arrive at Darchen, the base for the Kailash Parikrama and Ashtapad Darshan.
- Visit the Ashtapad site if permission is granted by the Chinese authorities.
- Overnight stay at Hotel Himalaya or a similar property.
Day-7: First Day of Kailash Parikrama
- Early in the morning, drive to Yamdwar, the start point of your Mount Kailash Parikrama.
- Begin your 10 km trek to Dirapuk, where you’ll experience the blessed view of the North Face of Mount Kailash, a deeply spiritual moment.
- Those who prefer not to do the Parikrama can stay at Darchen, where the view of Kailash is magnificent, and meals and accommodations will be arranged.
- Overnight stay at Guest House in Darchen for those who are not participating in the Parikrama.
Day-8: Second Day of Kailash Parikrama
- On the second day, wake up early and embark on a challenging 22 km trek from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass (5600 m), the highest point of the Kailash Parikrama.
- The climb to Dolma La Pass is steep and difficult, but after the first 6–7 km, the remaining 16 km is more manageable, mostly downhill.
- As you descend to Gauri Kund, enjoy the serene landscape before continuing along the river to Zuthulpuk.
- Visit Shivasthal, a sacred site, and the Gauri Kund en route.
- Overnight stay in a lodge or guest house at Zuthulpuk.
Day-9: Completing the Parikrama and Return to Purang
- The final day of Parikrama covers an 8 km trek that takes around 3 hours to complete, usually finishing by 9:00–10:00 AM.
- After completing the Parikrama, travel back to Darchen, where you’ll meet up with group members who did not participate in the Parikrama.
- Continue the journey to Dongba by road.
- Overnight stay at a hotel such as Xixa Panama, Mu being Chung, or similar.
Day-10: Hilsa to Nepalgunj to Kathmandu
- Begin your return journey by driving to Hilsa, then board a helicopter back to Simikot.
- Afterward, take a flight from Simikot to Nepalgunj and finally return to Kathmandu by flight.
- Overnight stay at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu (Hotel Shankar, Hotel Royal Singi, or similar).
Day-11: Departure from Kathmandu
- After breakfast, spend your free time in Kathmandu, then proceed to the airport for your onward journey back home with the blessings of Lord Shiva.
